What is a Linge

What is a linge?

A linge is a single piece of lingerie, feminine attire designed to be worn as a separate entity, separate from, but in conjunction with, the lingerie garment. Consequently, a linge always has its own separate skirt, which very much occupies center stage. A linge (pronounced as lenger) is generally, though not invariably, an undergarment. From the ultra-conventional "hooked" linge, to the highly fashionable "popper" linge (with its long history stretching back to the end of World War I) there is indeed a wide range of styles, shapes and purposes.

What are the designs of a linge?

There are basically three design options available: under bust - an under bust style where the guard . Visible on the front, suspender-style laces that secure it to the neck fits snugly around the upper torso, with the hooks and eyes at the back - that capture the attention. Pulled working teeth are part of the second option, which open at the neckline and jaws at the back, to create what is known a frog sound. The third style - that which is associated with the cartoon character "Popeye" has an exposed linctus. Buttons on the linctus suggest an over bust style where an ordinary bra would be completely visible.

What are the materials used?

Lingerie's are typically made of silk and cashmere. They are frequently exposed on the outside, either on the top or underside. Lingerie is also made of less material such as cotton and thin, lightweight wool. Lingerie is worn in private and is rarely seen being worn in the street. Women who wear lingerie have a deep foundation, in terms of gender identity and self worth. The act of wearing a lain often provides cover over the bras and other breast products of a woman. This is one of the products that are easy to sell.
